It’s hard to believe it has already been 10 months since taking delivery of our 2011 CR-Z EX. From a hectic two-week build for SEMA, competing at Super Lap Battle (Time Attack), displaying the car at Mega events like Wek’Fest NorCal, and Eibach SoCal, and plenty of dyno time with various manufacturers looking to test new products on the car, it has been a busy 2011. Here we are at the end of the series and it’s only fitting that I end this journey with JDP Engineering—the same company that jumped in to help me get the car ready for SEMA with some carbon-fiber goods. Since then, John at JDP has been working hard on a new rear diffuser option for the CR-Z. As with everything JDP Engineering has ever handed to me, fitment is outstanding, quality is top-notch, and installation is a breeze. To make things even easier, I relied (heavily) on a set of Race Ramps that I’ve been using to roll onto in order to get a jack or lift arms under the chassis, past the aggressive side skirts. Extremely lightweight, they tuck nicely in to the cargo area and have come in handy on both of the project cars far more times that I can recall.
