BDL Throttle Bodies - How It's Made

After the design is complete, the specs are entered into a type of rapid prototyper that creates a plastic mold of the throttle body. Shown here, the prototyper generates layers upon layers of plastic as they eventually form the shape of a throttle body. The plastic mold is then test fit on the vehicle to check for clearance issues and fitment. If it does not fit to the required specs, it's back to the drawing board and another plastic mock up is made. View Related Article
