AEM Engine Position Module
AEM's new Engine Position Module (EPM) replaces any B-, D-, F-, or H-series engine's distributor to allow for a coil-on-plug setup that can eliminate the "drift" often associated with such ignitions. The EPM provides precise engine positioning using dual zero-speed optical sensors, which offer the advantage of an immediate signal regardless of engine speed. The EPM adapts to any positive drive, half engine speed device like a cam or distributor drive, and can be used with any aftermarket engine management system that recognizes the common 24-and-1 crank and cam signal pattern. The EPM is compatible only with standalone management systems.
