Michael Braeuner's 2001 Integra GSr
Propulsion
Braeuner's GSR picks up points in the performance department without complicating things much. He opted for a '00 JDM Type R mill matched to a '97 JDM Type R gearbox complete with the factory-issued LSD. While Braeuner admits a potent-packing rebuild may be in the future, current upgrades remain simple and include Toda camshaft gears tied inside a Toda timing belt, a Toda header, Spoon Sports plug wires and a J's Racing carbon fiber intake system. A Vibrant catalytic converter and RSR exhaust system improve the B18C's exhaling duties. Charlie Rhyu from Top Setup in Chicago reprogrammed the P28 ECU and is also credited with performing the engine changeover.
Engine cooling is kept at bay with a C&R radiator teamed with a Password JDM cooling plate. An Exedy clutch and Integra Type R flywheel nest themselves inside the bellhousing.
Rims & Rubber
Braeuner opted for 16x7 Regamaster Evos after getting rid of a similar set of 15s. He tells us that "rims are like sneakers, you can't leave the same pair on for too long." The Regamasters feature a +45mm offset and are draped with 205/45-16 Yokohoma es100s.
Stance
Handling is what Braeuner tells us he enjoys most about his GSR and it shows. The upgrades are basic yet effective. H&R race springs are slipped over a set of 5-way adjustable Koni shocks both lowering the Integra and firming up its ride. Omni Power rear lower control arms and Comptech rear anti-roll bars and tie bars do their part.

Body: Once Braeuner landed his "big-time job" and the funds were flowing, the first major upgrade the Integra underwent was a JDM front end conversion. Leo from Password JDM sourced out the brand new clip which Braeuner admits was worth the wait. Also sourced and fitted were a Spoon Sports carbon fiber hood and front lip as well as Vision mirrors and hood dampers. Soon after the front end install, Braeuner switched over to a pair of OEM HIDs. He also tells us that, piece by piece, the Integra has received a fresh coat of factory-white paint, just not all at once.
Inside: Much like under the hood, the GSR's interior receives the JDM Type R treatment including door panels, rear seats, armrest, clock and climate control. Seated within his red Recaro and strapped by means of Takata harness, Braeuner takes command through a Momo steering wheel and Mugen pedals, monitoring all through a USDM Type R gauge cluster.
Ice
Braeuner admits to not paying much attention to all things audio and, as such, has only updated the headunit with an Alpine CD player.
