Bolts & WashersGeoff Pascual's 2000 Honda S2000PropulsionThe F20C remains internally stock, but Geoff has added some cool bolt-ons and leading-edge tuning electronics. A Mugen drop-in filter is joined by a custom Hytech race header and full custom Hytech Race Exhaust terminated by dual Formula mufflers. Geoff relates that the Hytech pieces have outstanding quality welds and sound awesome. The engine features an AEM EMS standalone computer tuned by Shawn Church of Church Automotive. Under miscellaneous, we find a J's Racing valve cover, J's racing engine torque dampener, ARC titanium heatshield, ARC titanium radiator shroud, Mugen carbon-fiber spark plug cover, Mugen oil cap and an HKS ground kit.
StanceThe S2K hooks and books, thanks to Ohlins race coilovers and chassis reinforcement in the form of J's Racing front and rear strut bars and a Spoon Sports X-brace. A Mugen 31.8mm front sway bar helps neutralize oversteer.
ResistanceBraking mods are limited to pads and Geoff is running Project Mu B-Force front and rear brake pads.
Rims & RubberRolling stock consists of Mugen MF-10 wheels and Yokohama ES-100 tires. Geoff reports that the MF-10s were the last set imported by King Motorsports before they were discontinued. He wants to call out King and AutoLink for sealing the deal. The front wheels feature a +52 offset and are wrapped with 215/45/17 rubber. The rear setup sports a +59 offset and 245/40/17 tires.
DrivelineThe OEM six-speed AP1 transmission has been upgraded with a 4.57 final drive and an Exedy Hyper Single Stage 3 clutch and Exedy lightened flywheel. The rear diff has been fortified with a KAAZ 1.5 way PowerPot LSD and a Comptech reinforced differential housing.
FashionOutside: Geoff's S2K flexes the ultimate JDM body tuning regimen, namely a Mugen SS front bumper and under-panel kit, a Mugen FRP hardtop, a Mugen three-piece wing, a Top Secret carbon-fiber rear diffuser and Top Secret carbon Kevlar vortex generators. JDM Honda '02 Spec S2000 chrome headlights and JDM clear S2000 side markers round out the body mods. DTM Autobody out of El Monte, California, made it all happen then sprayed the Honda OEM Grand Prix White.
Inside: The cockpit features Recaro SPG Pole Position sport buckets, a Takata 340WR harness system and a hard-to-acquire Keys Racing 325mm suede steering wheel that's fitted to a Mugen Racing Steering Boss. Gear selection is made with a highly crafted aluminum Mugen six-speed shift knob.
