Bolts & WashersArt Gambaryan's 2000 Honda CivicPropulsionPower is provided via a JDM Type-R Integra B18C5 engine. Internals are stock but there's a battery of performance bolt-ons. On the intake end, an AEM cold-air intake filters the incoming air, which makes its way into a Skunk2 intake manifold. An AEM fuel rail and pressure regulator handles fuel delivery. The stainless steel DC sports header has turned into a deep, heat-treated bronze. The Spoon oil-reservoir overflow protectors are in place to avoid any oil-related mishaps. Matching the carbon fiber on the exterior is a Spoon carbon fiber spark plug cover and Jenson strut-tower bar. The blue veins you see are NGK spark plug wires.
StanceSuspension is by Omni Power and includes a rear strut-tower bar.
ResistanceThe stopping power for this ride is facilitated with Brembo brakes with Axxis pads.
Rims & RubberMaintaining a clean look without being too flashy are 16-inch Work Nezart wheels sitting on Toyo Proxes stickies.
FashionOutside: Contrasting with the Anthracite Metallic paint job are a VIS carbon fiber Spoon-style wing, hood, rear hatch and front lip. Peeking out from the grill are amber factory-option fog lights.
Inside: Hop into Art's car and you get to bask in the comfort of JDM Civic Type R Recaro seats. When you look around, you think you are at a used Japanese car lot testing out an old Civic because all you see is JDM interior parts: Type R cluster, block off tray, coin pocket, shift boot and carpets. In case Art has to bail in a rush is a Momo steering wheel with NRG quick release. Skunk2 takes credit for the shift knob. Monitoring things are an AutoMeter air/fuel gauge and APEX'i VAFCII.
