The posse is on Broadway and we ain't talking Manhattan. Neither was Seattle backside aficionado Sir Mix A Lot. The HT posse, along with the more substandard magazines in our extended family, rolled into Seattle on May 7 for the first Tuner Bash in the northern reaches. By virtue of geographic isolation, Seattle heads don't have much opportunity to rep the scene but for the two or three shows/races that come through each year.
Seattle, we know you've got something going. For one thing, Vancouver is only a couple of hours to the north, and shops in Vancouver like A&J Racing and Garage 5 know how to pull the overseas connection. You want a Spoon-stacked B16 head? Call around in B.C. and you'll find something quick and easy on the shipping rates.
We weren't surprised to see the level to which the Northwest has worked its rides. We're just surprised no one gets up there to see the show more often. If you weren't mobbin' at Tuner Bash After Dark at Seattle's Qwest Expo Center, here's a little of what you missed.
