Scoping Out Norm Reeves' Second Annual Honda Show.
A brisk second day of December marked the second annual Norm Reeves Honda car show in nearby Cerritos, Calif. Armed with camera gear, several bottles of water and globs of sun block, we made our way through the small, yet well-organized dealership sales lot-turned-event-grounds for the day. Parked next to the usual suspects were a few cars we'd yet to cross paths with, which frankly is a rarity for us. From a full carbon-bodied Honda 600, to righthand drive CRXs and Integras and even a few full-blown drag cars, this show was tight-knit and offered a serious variety for show folk.

Brian Khou, Norm Reeves' accessory sales specialist, carried out organizational duties to a tee, making sure spots were filled with only the finest SoCal had to offer. Keeping the event short-from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.-and packed with music, food and eye candy proved to be the winning combination for the Norm Reeves boys. The fact that this event was initiated and carried out by fellow Honda enthusiasts made all the difference when compared to other events.
With two successful turnouts from competitors and spectators alike under their belts, you can bet there will be a third, so keep your eyes peeled for the next Norm Reeves get-together.
JP Cao's hatch appeared on HT's July '07 cover and was most recently featured in its sister publication Import Tuner. He's officially more famous than Britney Spears-after this photo was taken, JP was whisked away by bodyguards for a magazine signing and motivational speaking engagement. | Nalani wowed everyone with her immaculate K-powered drag CRX and impressed locals with outlandish claims like "drinking more than yours truly at SEMA." That, friends, is false. | Beautifully maintained or completely restored? Beauties like these look better then the day they rolled off the showroom floor. In 10 years will we see EF enthusiasts doing the same thing? |
Tommy of www.gotuning.com's S2K reeks of nothing but quality and attention to detail. Note the titanium intake elbow and multipoint ASM strut brace that complements the J's Racing and Mugen goodies. | | It's not everyday you see a carbon-bodied Honda 600 with motorcycle motivation, cantilevered suspension and Hoosier slicks. This little beast was the show within the show. |

Bisi stopped by to show us what raw power was all about. Kinsler ITBs and a knack for thinking outside the box help scoot this Insight down the 1320 faster than you'd think. | Alex Soto's minty green EG graced HT's Oct. '07 cover. Since then he's been working on his new project DC with major plans for 2008. | |
