Norm Reeves Honda recently invited us to come out and celebrate the Grand Opening of its performance parts depot, NRH Performance. Like a handful of parts departments are doing these days, NRH will sell you the parts, fold the expense into a vehicle payment plan (if you get the parts for a vehicle purchased at Norm Reeves), and also install everything. Modding your Norm Reeves purchase is now as simple as one-stop shopping.
The Sunday morning affair transpired under overcast skies on the lot of the Norm Reeves Superstore in Cerritos. Spectators filtered in throughout the morning and early afternoon to check out the 60 or so vehicles on display. There was also food, a DJ, a raffle, vendor booths, awards handed out to the sickest cars, and no shortage of Honda talk.
Among the cars spied (and pictured herewith) was the Spugen S2000, owned by Greg Park and carrying the name of his Whittier exhaust shop. The 2002 AP1 hosts a bevy of upgrades, including a Top Fuel turbo and copious amounts of Seibon carbon, and took awards for Best S2000 and Best in Show.
Also spotted was JP Cao's turbo B18-powered '95 hatch, a recent RodRez find that we hope to bring you in an upcoming issue of HT. Andrew Horn's white EK9 in the Password: JDM booth was another stunna, in part due to the scandalous women posing over his hatchback. Additionally, we found a modest little Civic Ferio sedan with some JDM potential, but alas didn't track down its owner.
Supplementing the show cars was a smattering of manufacturer and pro race vehicles. Both Mackin and Versus presented their respective '06 Si's, while Bisi Ezerioha joined the show by offering up the Bisimoto Engineering all-motor Insight. Others racers showing included the Limitless Ikon Pro FWD Accord and the Highend Autosports all-motor EG hatch.
